After my flight landed at Doha, instead of going to my hotel room I visited the famous art center at Souq Waqif. This fabulous art center is located inside an old but beautiful Qatari house. This center got Middle Eastern sculptures, paintings, beautiful embroideries, perfumes, and several other kinds of stuff. This is one best place that I have visited in this country.
Walk Around the Doha Corniche
Doha Corniche is one place that I would recommend to every tourist coming to this country to visit. This is a waterfront promenade, which had reshaped the coastline of this city in the years of 1970s to 1980s. The best of way to enjoy this historic structure would be to take a walk around it and enjoy the amazing skyline of the city.
Take a Look at Katara Cultural Village
Located on the northern side of this city is the famous Katara Cultural Village of Doha city. This was included my ‘to-visit’ list and also recommended by several tourists. This cultural village got several restaurants and shopping centers. This location conducts several international and national events. The buildings of this village are placed in such a way that might give you a feel similar to traditional Qatari-Al-Fareej.
Visit the famous Museum of Islamic Art
Located inside the Doha Waterfront, this Museum of Islamic Art is beauty on its own. This museum has collected painting and art prices of Islamic art from all over the world. Collections of painting that are collected from three major continents that span over 1400 years. The interiors of this museum are specially designed with marvelous geometric patterns that would signify the Islamic Culture. The best time to visit this location would be during the night time.
Feel History in Qatar National Museum
Qatar National Museum is one of the cultural spots that I would recommend to visit during their trip. It is the 2nd largest museum that stores lots of cultural and ancient artifacts and relics. This building structure won the award of Agha Khan Architecture in the year 1980 for its Islamic architecture. The museum would conduct several exhibitions through the year for attracting tourist and travelers.
Visit the Famous FANAR
FANAR is also known as the Islamic Cultural Centre, which is located inside the spiral mosque of Souq Waqif. This place is for helping non-Muslims to understand the culture of the Islamic world by conducting tours of this location and various exhibitions. They would also conduct special Arabic short classes that might help tourist during their stay in the country. I would recommend this place to those tourists who came to visit this city with their family.
Take Look at Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum
Another place that I visited during my trip to this city was to the famous museum of Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani. This museum is located 15.5 miles from the city of the Doha. This museum is generally, is famous for keeping vintage cars and other artifacts that were owned by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani. There are more than 600 cars located in this museum. It is also one of the largest car collections in the whole world. This museum also features the world smallest Quran. This is one of the places that I would recommend to any tourist if you are coming to this country.
